I hold a Masters of Social Work (PQ), Bachelor Social Science (Counselling), Diploma Hypnotherapy, Certificate Initiatic Art Therapy and continued professional development in both somatic and expressive therapies.

I am a qualified practicing member of AASW, ACA, ACBS and COS.

RELATIONSHIPS

Are you trying to create a satisfying relationship with yourself but feeling lonely and unfulfilled? Is your life being hijacked by depression, anxiety, fear of failure, poor body image, or a lack of confidence and motivation? Are you confused about work, study or personal commitments? In part, our relationships are impacted by our historical attachment/s in early childhood, our relationship style learned and myriad other things. Compassionate understanding and learning new relationship habits can improve our relationships; with ourselves, our parenting, intimate relationships, friendships, work and general life relationships and communications. This relationship work does not need to be stuck in the past – it is about working together; understanding, learning and moving forward in your relationship/s.

TRAUMA

Are you, or someone you care about experiencing challenging impacts of trauma? Trauma can be different things for different people – it is not a one size fits all. Trauma can be experienced from one single traumatic event or multiple. We can also experience vicarious-trauma. Our Nervous System is impacted by single and multiple events, as well vicarious trauma; a consequence of supporting others within our personal or professional relationships. Sometimes patterns of behaviour that may have in some way been helpful previously, are now automatic responses and not helpful in current situations. Our work together invites a compassionate validation of experience/s and a shift from ‘surviving’ to living life full of purpose & vitality – thriving.

LIFE TRANSITATIONS

Are you feeling like you are out of sorts but don’t really know why? Or perhaps you know exactly why! Has an event, or a life-stage change altered life as you knew it? Examples of Life stage transitions can include; parenting, career, hormonal changes from adolescents through to menopause. Life transitions of any kind can be challenging and stressful, yet exciting opportunities to grow, often in unexpected ways. We all approach change differently and compassionate understanding of this helps us grow through our transitions. Supportive strategies can help us work through the often-broad range of intense and conflicted emotion experienced at our expected and sometimes unexpected life transitions. Compassionate support can genuinely help us through changes – life transitions.
